BASIC TACTICAL CARBINE

BASIC TACTICAL CARBINE
INTRODUCTORY LEVEL – 3 DAYS

This course is designed as a first-level of formal instruction for civilians who wish to attain a greater level of competence in the use of auto-loading carbines (AR-15, M-1 Carbine, Kalashnikov variants).  It affords 23 hours of instruction over three days.

The course is designed to provide rock-solid fundamentals, and marry the rifleman to his or her particular rifle.  No astronomical round counts, circus drills or other forms of entertainment are involved.

If you miss a shot, we will take the time to figure out whythat happened, and we will fix it.  We will not just move on and tell you that you are “doing great” if you are not.

Topics which will be covered are:

1

Getting clear on mind set and your personal objectives.

2

Marksmanship and Gun Handling with your system:  Proper manipulation and handling of rifles; correct procedure to clear jams and stoppages; comparison of AR-15/M-16/M-4 carbines (and their clones).

3

Stance and Basic firing positions: Including introduction to tactical employment of them, and the importance of stance to weapon retention and contact-distance engagement.

4
