PROBABLY THE LAST FIREARMS THE GOVERNMENT WILL RESTRICT
ARE BOLT & LEVER ACTION HUNTING RIFLES.
MIGHT IT NOT BE A GOOD IDEA TO KNOW HOW TO USE ONE FOR
PERSONAL DEFENSE?

This format explores practical marksmanship at practical distances under field conditions. The course is best suited to lightweight, fast handling rifles with iron sights or low power scopes, but there are no restrictions on the type of rifle a student may use. Fundamentals of marksmanship and gun handling are covered. In addition, there are tactical drills similar to those found in 'tactical rifle' or 'urban carbine' courses for magazine fed rifles. In this course those drills are performed with a bolt action or lever gun. This exercise will give the student a superior level of gunhandling and manipulation skills. The course is suitable for both hunters and people who wish to utilize the rifle as a defensive tool. This course includes 24 hours of formal instruction on the use of bolt or lever-action rifles, including the defensive use of such rifles.
